In this seminar, participants will explore books with a particular focus on how digital tools shape our understanding of literature, providing new pathways to analyze and visualize texts.The course emphasizes interactive web-based data analysis applications and distant reading approaches.
Students will learn a wide range of strategies for studying books using computational techniques, gaining hands-on experience with various tools for analyzing and visualizing textual data (from classic literature to contemporary fiction and bestsellers).
By the end of the course, students will be able to apply these digital tools to their research projects, using texts of their choice as case studies.
